But the other save files load fine. When I try to load this one in the Rec Deck, the screen shifts to the loading bar that doesn't move, then it freezes there.

It's gonna take a while to sort through all this info and pinpoint what exactly can cause this troublesome phenomena...

It was in Recreation B if it helps any.

System specs? OS? Any mods installed?

Laptop
Window XP SP3
1.79 GHz Mobile AMD Sempron Processor 3000+
1.12 ram
No mods, I just installed the kolya tools, and use the SS2 Mod Manager to open up the game every time, fixing the user key bind first.
I've beaten the game already, and have many save files, but only had one for this second playthrough, which was a PSI only approach. It's the 10th save file.

Oh wow, now it works. I was just playing a new game for a couple hours and decided to see if the file still worked. It loaded fine now. Pretty weird, since, before, the file still wouldn't load even after I gave the laptop a reboot.

I've had this problem before sporadically, and it hasn't happened in a long time. Glad it fixed itself.

It happened again, but luckily I made a second save file that works. Must be some random problem or maybe the place where I saved (the circular room with the catwalk platform in the very middle; you can drop from this platform onto the ground floor, and the way to get out is through ladder-reached shaft).

This happens to me from time to time as well. It can be a pain but usually you can bypass this by simply trying to reload the save again and again until the loading bar finally moves.

I usually have to "end task" system shock 2 and reopen it again if it happens.
