don't you want become ill after eating rats ? to much meat... If the gameplay doesn't allow for chain mail to be used, it could be marked 'broken' and nothing is lost by adding the option of taking it...
Same thing for ratmeat: it could be poisonous ( or highly radioactive judging from the size of the buggers).
Which brings another option into view: poisoning nasties by feeding them ratmeat... :ebil:

ah, yes, the poisoned dagger of the really freakin' long name. the poisoning effect is kind of weird, though, it just turns whatever you attack with it green.

Yeah, it is kind of lame...turning them all green..but it actually damages the AI, i've stabed someone with it and just let them run off and found them dead when i went looking for them.
i think the change to making them green should be taken away, i mean realisticly you wouldn't be able to tell if they were poisoned or not, just by their actions...maybe they should fall to the ground sometimes or something....

I DO agree with you ! but let me be the devil advocate one more time : it would force them to redo all the character (with or without chain mail, etc)
but I would LOVE such an option ! (nevertheless I know it couldn't be done in 2 months as it's also an initially gameplay choice... maybe in Arx 2 ? help me to convince myself that's for a better gameplay :tsktsk: :laff: :( ...)

Well .. there is a restaurant in Bruxelle in which you can order rat. I heard it's quite good meat ;)
Concerning the chainmail, I'm not sure, but I think taking off the chainmail form a corpse might take some time, skill and strength. (exc ept perhaps for helmets and gauntlets)

Cool ! I've already eat rat when I've worked in Vietnam : taste very close to rabbit (it could also be poisonned, 'cause they're caught in rice fields...)

I ate rat when I was living in the Netherlands. Its not bad at all really. However, it was advertised on the english menu as Water Rabbit to the unwitting pommies.

(exc ept perhaps for helmets and gauntlets) Time and strength, yes, but skill? Do you mean that there should be an ingame skill required to remove armour from dead bodies? I think it'd probably be a case of brute strength, rather than dexterity, that would be required.
