i know there was a fan mission where a guy did something simaler ,it was even more brutal you heard it on a record player

What is the name of the fanmission you talking about? Or do you mean the original missions?

i am talking om mission thief 2 where you go to police station, before you enter it,you can go to a room with 3 switches each one opens a gate, there is some kind of cell block with a dead hammer haunt walking around all cells you can see people in them, but one is just a door and you hear the guy ,who snapped,he talks about a few things if you stand there long enough
i am just wondering if there is any cannon info on him
and yes other people used the voice in there fan missions, but its a om thing
om mission is shoulsgate station/"framed" mission for thief 2,i am pretty sure its the first time that guy was in game
i am curious if there is any readable on him/etc conversation maybe?
garretts says "ohh yeah he's gone" i am shocked its not more well known
Grandmauden on 17/11/2018 at 05:57
There's a readable near the interrogation room that gives the prisoner's name as Schmidt. Based on said readable and the guy's ramblings, he is a brutal serial killer who has been locked in solitary confinement and left to die. Framed is his first and only appearance in the OMs.

its not thief 1 i made mistake
its thief 2
thank you grand maulden
would be cool to have a mission about his crime/and his back story
but then again i wish alot of nps were more fleshed out in story lines

doing the roof top mission on way to karrass house you see so many upper class people and a bit of there back storys along the way
the bubblesons got invite lol,one of the better levels forsure, lady van vernon guard fight omg thief 1/g/2 is the best,ii also like thief 3 but it would have played way better in thief 2 engine
it felt like thief 3 had small ass spaces to move around in with the chunky movement ,i think to myself how massive thief 3 could have been without a new engine, way more on the murloks/etc,the pagan area was so small i was like they got to be kidding me,and in one pat of city by audale the police right next to pagan hideout/hammer
i so hope one day a team picks up that t3 city on t2 and does the missions for it,they might not even need many nexus points like thief 3 except for missions outside of areas of map

mctaffer for some reason i sometimes get thief 1 missions mixed up with thief 2 missions, not sure why,i dont play the om's much anymore, except to get more on cannon from readables, and look at the art

This is from Thief Wiki:
In the Ambush! level, go to the Southern portion of Helena Way. Use the map to get there. Look for a wall bordering the stream that has 3 torches stuck in it. There are 4 boards nailed to the wall in the shape of a W. In the stream directly below the W, is a bag of gold. This is a reference to the old movie "It's a mad, mad, mad, mad world" In the movie, a bunch of people are trying to find buried treasure that was ultimately located buried "Under the big W" (in the movie it was 4 palm trees that grew to make the W)
In Framed, that murderer Schmidt, held in solitary confinement, was orignally named Crazy Gordon Smith. "Smiler Grogan" became "Smith, Gordan." The madness in the movie title may be connected to the fact that Smith was crazy. The sound schema for Schmidt calls him Crazy Gordon Smith, and the filenames for his rants still recall the original Smith.
Two of the many unused comments by Garrett that refer to him, once by the old name:
gar0503: "Judging from the guard post, I'll bet that's Smith's place."
gar0504: "Hmm. Whipple and Helena Way... That's where that prisoner in Shoalsgate said he stashed some loot."`Smiler` Grogan is played by Jimmy Durante in that movie.
