I bet it feels like being banned for being a consummate shit head and finally doing something that made an admin more than a bit pissed off. Go back to your teary-eyed masturbating in silence, you ridiculous turd. You haven't provided us with anything remotely interesting in years, and kicking you got boring last time.

Nice work.

That wasn't just offensive, he was being downright creepy.
Anyways, back on topic, it seems that Greenwald has finally gotten around to writing on the topic. As usual, he provides one of the most informative analysis of the situation so far.

First, the point of the whole blockade (and this operation) is to bring the ships into dock (Ashkelon) and search them for weapons, then let all the aide into Gaza without further restraint. That's what Israel was attempting, and that's the part that the activists are trying to claim is illegitimate. (They want to be allowed to ship aid in to Gaza without any Israeli interference at all.)
No, the activists want israel to allow more shit in, like cement, medicine, more food, books and things that may help palestine to become barely functional instead of constantly on the brink of starvation and without any means to even try to bootstrap themselves up.

Interesting read, too bad it's painfully obvious which side he's on. Also, some of the 'first hand accounts' he links to are nothing short of ridiculous. Like:
"They used paintball guns on passengers — the ammunition mixed with glass."
Yeah, okay. Seriously, it's getting close to (

I am happy to see such an article. On the first page of this thread I wrote a post. I got called an idiot. But there is a lot in this article which agrees with what I wrote. The main points being: Israel (and America) are reversing the roles of aggressor and victim. Second point: how is it possible that people (try to) do this ? Third point: Greenwald points to tribalism the reason.
Quote:
A prime cause of this inversion is the distortion in perception brought about by rank tribalism. Those whose world-view is shaped by their identification as members of a particular religious, nationalistic, or ethnic group invariably over-value the wrongs done to them and greatly under-value the wrongs their group perpetrates.
This is what I wrote, but maybe in different words. I blamed "the Jewish Lobby". I pointed to the taboo of Jews criticizing Israel. This is the same tribalism that Greenwald talks about. I blame religion. Religion on both sides. Religion that puts people in separate camps. "Religion flies you into buildings". The fact that Jewish people in the USA and all around the world will defend Israel, no matter what it does, is part of the problem. Tribalism. Religion. Race. They are the same thing here.
