Maybe I should trash this thread and start another clean one with some different subject matter.
GBM: Thoughts on melatonin? I understand it is produced by the brain to regulate the body on a day/night cycle, and that it is secreted less as people age or health deteriorates. Can taking melatonin supplements make the body stop producing it with the expectation that it'll be ingested regularly, or does it still produce the same amount no matter what?
How about herbal diaphoretics and diuretics and a lot of water on days off, when one gets to stay at home? Should that be cleansing and beneficial in the long term all week as long as the user keeps basic nutrient intake up?

fwiw I find melatonin supplements are great for helping unfuck a fucked up sleep schedule.
