Soooo so many. A lot of things need to go right to get a game across the finish line and release it. Heck, only among devs I know personally I could rattle off a bunch of promising games that just vanished into the ether, but I won't embarrass them by doing so. :)
Sometimes games do come back from the dead tho. Years ago I saw great looking clips of Consume Me on twitter, then silence for
years, and I figured we'd never see a release. But a couple weeks ago it resurfaced with (
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2359120/Consume_Me/) a great demo and September 25th release date! So just because things are silent doesn't mean nothing's happening. Sometimes its easier to make progress when hype dies down and you can work in peace.
