Since there's no demo wondering if I'll be able to play.
Athlon dual core 4550e 2.3 gig
3 gigs of ram
nvidia 9400 GT 1 gig
I know both the processor and GPU suck, but don't really care about graphics or res as long as it will run.
Thanks.
BTW; Is it really a good successor to the original?

Dudes, could we possibly keep this thread for reviews and/or discussions thereon, please? I don't really think that discussions on mechanics or setpieces are appropriate here, when a lot of people reading reviews won't have bought the game yet.

I've done the first boss and after a few false starts found it to be quite simple a long as you're controlled and a good shot. I can see why they included them but the ai of the bosses should really be better than that.
The character interaction bits are pretty good so far- the way you can get things out if people if you play your cards right is... nice.

Yeah, I got to the first boss and it's just... meh. I'm not a fan.

Hang on to your briefs, it gets a lot more obnoxious. I think I'm on the last chapter now and I love the game to bits, probably gonna gush a bit about it once it's done, but seriously screw whoever thought it was a good idea to put actual "boss encounters" in Deus Ex. As it turns out they're really my only capital gripe about the game, they're nothing like the "bosses" from the original, they're gimmick setpieces, Metal Gear Solid shit. Poorly executed from a narrative standpoint as well.
On the upside, if I really am on the last chapter, there's only a couple of 'em.

Your proc meets the minimum spec off the box, but I think you might struggle on the graphics side, the suggested nVidia 8800 is a cut above the 9400, the latter's really not gaming graphics. You
might be able to run it at absolute minimum settings, but can't say for sure.

Yep.

There's 4 bosses. The 4th is the end.
I liked the 4th since it was really Looking Glassish. But the rest belong in Metal Gear Solid as you say.

I've finally received my copy from Amazon! :) Yeah!
I've pre-ordered the game last year and got to play it only just now. How great it is!
But I still have to finish Metro 2033 before I start it....

No you fucking don't. Play it now.
