. I mean all the European folk already have the game either preloaded, or have the disc waiting in the box.
Eh? My box is supposed to get delivered Friday. If I'm lucky. :(

That's fucking hilarious!

I've pre-ordered based on this thread. I have never pre-ordered, as a rule, after a bad experience many years ago.
Ironically, this was Invisible War, which I even imported from the US, complete with shameful 'Future war on terror' tagline.
Hoping for a game that doesn't try to cash in on jingoism this time.
Paranoid fear is that this one will secretly be dreadful as well and I will never live down the humiliation of being fooled twice.

Hahahaha, look at you :D
(I did the same thing with IW :( )

ALREADY IN THE BOX?! I've preordered this game on november 2010 and still its status on my amazon.co.uk account is "DISPATCHING SOON"!!!! And I'm in Italy.
Once it gets here next week and I see it needs Steam I'll be pissed.
Fallen+Keeper on 25/8/2011 at 13:17
Ok, now I'm pissed.
Matthew on 25/8/2011 at 13:38
Pissed because it needs Steam or because Amazon are being horrendously slow?

I think the game is more CPU than GPU intensive. Case in point, I've got an ass old machine, and the game does get a little chunkity on occasion. Nothing too bad, but I do like keeping my games running above 30FPS at all times if I can.
Knocking down the resolution from 1920x1080 all the way down to 800x600 does absolutely nothing to fix the frame rate, nor does turning off any of the eye candy options. If you've got a decent CPU, I think a 330M will at least be playable.
It's a VAIO F laptop with a quad i7-720QM which is one of the slowest of the i7 processors but still decent. Native res on this machine is 1920x1080 and that's partly why I was concerned.

Heywood. It's hard to say. Even the lowest end mobile i7 is probably more powerful than what I've got. You might be able to get away with it, specially when you consider you won't be bottlenecked by the CPU like I am, and can turn down graphics options to eek the best performance out of it.
What's the most demanding game you've run on the laptop so far? If you've played something like Witcher 2 on it, then you could easily run DX.
