You know what? I don't care that I've only had about 7 hours of sleep over the last two nights. I don't care that I've got a bunch of stuff to do.
This is a new Deus Ex. A
good new Deus Ex. An
orange Deus Ex.
Screw temptation. I'm preloading it now. If it goes live at midnight EST, I'll try to get a good couple of hours in.

edit: My balls are tingly with anticipation.
Ha. I pre-loaded it on FRIDAY. Take that!
Though of course I can only play in on the 26th because due to some incredible failure of logic, Asia gets lumped in with the UK in terms of release dates.
DAMN YOU ALL

How about the audio mixing? It was really pretty bad in the leak.
Anyway I almost have no time to play these days, and need to finish TW2 and E.Y.E patched first, but I look forward to finally playing Human Revolution.

Gaaaah. Have to wait til Friday. Preloaded already.
Reviews are promising, esp the RPS one.

Playing it as we speak.
Combat does not mess around.

I preordered it on amazon.co.uk. :( Have to wait, but I have Borderlands to finish before I can commit to it at 100%.
SOOOO... I've read the reviews. The problem is that it's either Deus Ex or it's not, for me. There is no middle ground.
So, what say you? Is the AI so stupid they say it is? Does it feel it's just a port? (signs: Click Here To Start; GIANT font; rolling menus, SMALL environments etc...)
scarykitties on 23/8/2011 at 15:38
So far, no. I've felt like loading times are reasonable (20-30 seconds), missions seem well-sized (although I'm just starting, so work with me on that). AI duck into cover when detecting a fight and slowly close in on you by keeping behind cover so you have to be careful to make sure that they don't get up behind you. They're certainly smarter than they were in Deus Ex, anyway. They don't just all come straight at you. They stick behind cover, lay down suppressive fire, and work their way toward you as a group, at least from what I've seen. The AI may be smarter or dumber in other missions, though. This is just the first one.
The game had an excellent introduction and, from where I am so far, looks like it's intellectually heavy. That is, it seems smart so far.
