Speaking of shit. AOL speak is where I draw the line, thank god its becoming a thing of the past.
While I agree with the sentiment of what you say BA, this particular comment confuses me. You draw the line at AOL speak. I happen to draw it a few steps prior with sentences that require a subject, verb, and period at the end. It's the same hang-up, you just obviously have more tolerance than I do.
You see, we're the same, you and I.;)
Gille - again, I'm sorry if I offended, but I disagree that you don't need a book. I write A LOT and I have the very book I recommended sitting on my desk in front of me and use it daily. It has helped me to communicate more clearly, and thus be understood better by others. Bad grammar is much like slurred speech. What the person is saying may be monumentally important, but if the listener can't understand what's being said, it's wasted. It seems like you have quite a few good thoughts on the subject matter - I was just trying to prompt you to spend a little more time forming and typing them out before posting, so that we could understand them better, which in turns only enhances the conversation for everyone.

Nice, I like that! It really captures the Emo-loser spirit (self portrait?):ebil:
why do you say things that you know will hurt me :(
And it never struck me as "emo" or what the fuck ever. It struck me as "oh god not again."

Oh nothing major, just a general trend towards deficiencies in essential amino acids, calcium, vitamin B12, riboflavin and iron, among other things.
As well as the elevated estrogen levels that come from consuming too much soy.
I've known plenty of vegetarians. They all look like weaklings, and the best any of them tend toward as body shapes go is "skinny-fat."
But, carry on deluding yourself that it's healthier to avoid meat altogether, which I'm sure you will. Zealots don't tend to listen to reason anyway.
I don't mean to be an ass, but you're being ignorant. Do some serious research on the topic and you'll realize that vegetarian and vegan diets can be extremely healthful even for athletes. Hey, ever heard of Dave Scott, Robert Cheeke, Carl freakin' Lewis? Here's more: "Former champion bodybuilder, Bill Pearl is a vegetarian. So is the legendary 6'8, 320 pound wrestler, Killer Kowalski; fitness guru, Jack LaLanne; Olympic gold medalist, Edwin Moses; and 6-time Ironman Triathlon winner, Dave Scott, just to name a few." ((

So incredibly arrogant and patronizing. I get the impression she was doing the best she could, and I understood her well enough. She's under no obligation to spend time studying so you'll be happier with her posts. If you don't understand someone, either try harder or skip their contributions entirely instead of pompously exposing them to ridicule and insulting them to the point that they feel unwelcome. Has your little campaign to "help" her enhanced this conversation one bit? I mean, for those of us who don't enjoy bullying or schadenfreude? I think not.
yikes, hissy fit on page five :/

Right -I'll just totally ignore her from now on (along with many others) and never tell her. That's more sensitive and caring.
I would hope that Gille is mature enough to not give a rip about what I think - because she doesn't really know me (so who cares?), and still consider that maybe there's something of substance in my advice without taking it personal.
The internet = serious business.

Snakes alive! It's all kicked off. There's a bit of a gender war going on here.
To fair to fett, Lesser, he didn't flame her the way we usually flame quirky posters. Hecksie, she would have faired worse in GenGaming these days!
oh Scots, it's posts like that that make me love you even though you know. I loled, for real yo, for real

Getting personally upset over what someone on the internet says about you is just about... well, I can't even think of anything clever, it's so fucking pointless.
