This thread is a waste of time. Do not read.
So there was a computer teacher in my middle school. He had his quirks, but everyone does, I guess.
He was a bit distant and snide at times, nothing really worth mentioning at all.
Well, except for the fact that last week he was arrested for apparently "stealing computers." Physically, it seems. According to the report, every room of his house was packed with computers as well as "secret hidings spaces." While I'm sure anything is possible, it does feel a bit surreal, especially when the report says 70 units were found throughout his house. The allegations are that he was swiping the district-donated units from the school and pawning them off on E-bay.
I had heard strange things about him before, but after I had finished middle school and they seemed to be typical of the grapevine and rumor mill. "The computer teacher goes on porn sites and masturbates during class" sort of rumor. The whole thing was very silly.
Now this. While I'm inclined to trust the reports, I'm a bit uncertain about the school, since from my best understanding, it's enviroment has taken a downhill slide; most of the good teachers and administrators left, discord and violence has risen, there's been much less feeling of control.
I'm suspicious of the school's report mostly because of the general nature of the report itself. I'm probably being paranoid, but the report does not state very much at all about the nature of the crime. It doesn't tell much about about how the crime was discovered. It explains it off as refraining disclosure as part of an ongoing investigation. The report say he was sighted loading about 7 computers into the back of his vehicle. When he was arrested and his house searched, the additional 70 apparently turned up. He supposed took these slowly and over an extended period, plus they were older models.
I guess my reaction is mostly because the whole situation feels strange and surreal. It's especially strange he would do this considering he was only two years from retirement.
Now he's risking 2-10 years in jail.
So, in summation...

Well we weren't supposed to read it, it says at the top. It's just here so we can be tempted to read it and regret it later. Kinda like Pandoras box, or the apple in Eden.
NOONE READ IT OR WHO KNOWS WHAT COULD HAPPEN

I read it. I suddenly have the feeling that my calves will implode at 23:00 GMT in three days.

That teacher is a cyber thief for stealing computers? If I steal a TV-set, will that make me Christopher Lee?
