Hiya - I've had a blue and black CD-Rom disc for a few years now that has Uw 1-2 on it.
(I used to have the original box UW, with big old truly floppy discs, and a runebag [cloth bag with little metal runes])
Anyways, does anyone know how to get Expanded mem. working for a program in win 95 or 98? I think I've tried at least ten times during the last 4 years to run these games, with no luck, but loads of frustration.
Also - I have a copy of the original hint book from Origin (copyright '92, 92 edition) that is for sale to whomever wishes it. It's in great condition, and it has all kinds of different information, and UW-related artwork, including the various characters... The kind, the Avatar, Tyball, Princess , the SLASHER

If it has much artwork that isn't in the manual, I'm interested.

i got that cd a while back, and have no probs. you need about 560k right... well, if you make a bootdisk with Bootme you'll get 620k free, which should be plenty enough for sound and whatnot...

Shadowcat - Sorry about the long time to reply!
The hintbook I have contains artwork of the following nature:
A breakdown of every level, with notes written for most unique areas, written from Tyball's point of view, to a student of his who was to visit him in the Abyss.
A picture of a female Avatar bartering with a rouge looking fellow.
A picture of an Avatar battling a huge spider.
A male Avatar drowning in the water (wearing heavy armor) while being pursued by a lurker.
Tyball's huge face hanging over a sleeping, bare-chested Avatar.
An Avatar with a grecian helmet attempting to pick a lock on a chest.
An Avatar talking with a lizard-man, with the prisoner in the background, watching on.\
The Avatar and the mountainman King. (The Avatar stands on a lower step to make the King feel taller)
Tyball and his evil bro' working magic together.

The error messages I always get deal with expanded mem...*sniffle*
