Ok Progress. Slow But Satisfying!
I can now actually get into the game. Past the Menu Screen, past the load screen and into the game. But then after about 5-10 seconds. It either crashes back to desktop OR just freezes. lol

Read the first post in this thread, you'll see a mention of issues with dualcores and hyperthreated processors. Try out that theory if you have either a X2 or a HT processor that is.

You've emailed me a link to that patch twice and posted links here about 40 times. No one gives a fuck if you found and unwrapped SS2 exe. It's not a fix, it's fucking illegal. Piss off

My threads are not for such men like you they are for those who really wants to play ss2.

And almost everyone can play it without needing to unwrap in the first place.

Okay, I installed SS2, everything went smothly until I picked career, the game crashed.
This problem has happened before and I've done pretty much everything that the FAQ implied, and I've added a "current" directory in the SS2 folder.
I didn't have time to look at the whole thread, so I don't know if anybody have any solution for it...
Can anybody, please, help me!?!
My computer run on the XP.

There are a few things you can try.
If you have compability enabled, disabling it is a lot better idea. And try add safe_texture_manager to cam.cfg. And you could also try renaming the cutscenes folder in case this is related to the Indeo codec.
Mothman on 2/11/2006 at 08:41
I've already tried that.
When I pick career path the screen goes black. Some guy said that it was because the game couldn't autosave and that you had to create a folder called "current", if I'm not mistaken.

If that was the case, I think you should have gotten a Send Error Report window.
I can't really help you any further than what I mentioned above...
