How To Run System Shock 2 on Windows XP/2000

Ok this is weird... my videos are upside down!! What do I need to do to fix that?

Did you try reInstall the Indeo codec from the SS2 CD? The file to run is called iv5play.exe if I remember correctly.

I'm fairly certain the .icd file is to do with SafeDisc. In which case it's unlikely to have been included in the HOTU edition. Not sure why the SafeDisc protection would affect multi-processor systems.

I got my legit copy of the game to run without any difficulties, and my hardware and drivers are pretty recent.

So yeah, some people are just unlucky. :eww:

Hi,
My SS2 loads fine and all the videos play well, but when the videos finish and the game itself loads nothing happens. It just goes black, I then have to resort to closing the game using end task.

My system:
AMD 2200+ (no HT)
768MB Ram
Radeon 9200 SE Agp video (128mb)

I'm having a problem in multiplayer taking the main elevator back down, crashes out every time :(. Any ideas?
