How to Patch to 1.18 Thief2.exe in Linux (Ubuntu) ?

Hi there :cheeky: ,

This is my situation: Thief2 is perfectly installed with Wine on my Ubuntu 8.10, but to run ddfix patch, i have to update the game to the 1.18 version (the base original version is the 1.07). So i'm trying to apply to the normal (e and original) CD version of Thief2, the 1.18 Patch to update it on my installed game with Wine.

The problem is that it's impossibile to running this patch file (.exe) under wine (it exit and nothing happens).

Any idea to apply the patch in Linux?
Eventually: it's possibile to apply the patch manually, by changing some files?

It's there any complete and definitive Technical FAQ for running Thief2 on a Linux Box?

You can use Premier Patch:

It's a self-extracting 7-zip archive, you can unpack it manually.

Then download prepatched thief2.exe 1.18 for DDfix (because thief2.exe from Premier is packed by UPX or something and can't be patched by DDFix installer)
