There are some very bloodthirsty people on these forums.
I try to be nice and honourable, and hate it when I have to kill people who have not attacked me on sight. In fact, I haven't finished some quests because of moral scruples.
I'm just a Nice Person, I guess, and find it difficult to shed this even when playing a computer game.

I feel the same way. It took me a long time to complete the Balmora murder quest because I just couldn't believe I was suppose to kill someone without him attacking - it was very disturbing! And then right after that I got the Camona Tong "slaughter" quest!:p I was shocked! Fortunately, most of the quests since then have been "no kill" or the target attacks on sight so I felt much better. I have very high speech craft and most people like me a whole bunch, so I can usually talk my way out of situations. My hardest situations come when I find smugglers' caves. I have high sneak and lots of personality. Often I can sneak up on people within striking range before they see me or even walk up and talk with them before they decide to attack! It's so disconcerting :tsktsk: I always worry that I might accidently kill one of those people which are prisoners or quest-related and would not actually attack me:( Oh well. These are the problems of having a conscience!

You want to kill Dagoth Ur?
1st of all, you need three of the following items...
Keening- A Very Rare Shortblade
Sunder- A Very Rare Warhammer
Wraithguard- A Very Rare Glove
You cannot use Keening or Sunder until you are wearing the wraithguard, If you use these items without, Keening or Sunder will deal you a mortal wound, and kill you in one. So be warned.
Using these Items, Destroy the statue thing with the artifacts in them, then kill dagoth ur. Sunder is the best weapon to use against him as it can knock him down and temporarilly disable him, when he is knocked down, use keening. This is the best way to kill him.
When he is dead, A message will appear. When you go outside of Dagoth Ur and into Ghostgate, There will be no more blight storms and the sky will be all blue. Everyone will like you 100% guaranteed (even the ordinators, funnily enough).
Take my advise, I have killed Dagoth Ur Myself, with my level 67 Argonian. His name is Raikorn, He is an assassin and a vampire. A deadric longsword or any other weapon will be of no use when killing dagoth ur. Good Luck!

I remember when I first got the dream about dagoth and then went outside and the sleaper said that you have to go to him.
I really beleived it and went although I was like level four or something with hardly any skills and I'd only done like one quest for the blades. I had no clue there was any "main quest" or anything. but I died before I even got up the hill. After a while I realized that there was a main quest and now I'm on the one where you have to prove to the ashlanders that you are the neverine.
God I was such a noob.

Actually, if you beat Dagoth Ur while you're 5th level or below, you do get a free bow upgrade....

yeah, but i had no idea WHO dagoth ur was, I didn't know that there was even a story to this game.
I was just doing what the sleeper told me to do.

I know what you mean: I killed Sottilde for her codebook, for a Balmora Fighter's Guild mission; and I felt horrible! Especially after her disposition was 100, because I had buttered her up in the hope that she would give me the book.. But I was also a part of the Thieves Guild, so it wouldn't have worked.. :(
VoxXi, I admire you; I could never play Morrowind as superficially and carelessly as you, without paying attention to the immensity of the history, story, development and massive size of the whole course of events in the game! Well done.. :erg:
