Keep playing and you'll find out! If you choose to follow the main quest, that is. You're a long way from the confrontation with Dagoth Ur.
You get set on the main quest path by Caius Cosades, to whom you have to take a package/letter. This is about the first thing you get told to do, at the docks offices in Seyda Neen.
I suggest you don't overdo the spoilers- you may want to keep some surprises until later, otherwise you may as well go play a game where you just kill things, instead of one with a proper plot. You'll meet Dagoth Ur later, though you'll hear of him soon enough - it'll be worth the wait.

yea its gay i summond 6 guys and i had them all attack dragoth ur and eventually knocked him into the lava and he's been there for like a week and he wont die and thats just not fair? do i even get anything for killing him? (i havent started th main quest yet and im over lvl 50 so.......) i didn even know there was a main quest until i came to this fine fine site, i just walked around with no perpose) :ebil:

Unfair? Jeez, you can't just expect to max out all your attributes and go off expecting to kill gods just because you have an uber-powerful claymore of whatever. Dagoth Ur ain't no pettry Ogrim or Dremora, he's a deity, and deities need special treatment! Go find Wraithguard, Sunder and Keening and *then* you can kill him good and proper.

Better yet, go to Balmora and deliver that package to Caius Cosades! The main quest explains why and how you kill Dagoth Ur and gives you purpose:thumb:

I cant start the main quest b/c i killed Divayth Fyr along time ago for his arrmor and now that one dude wont talk to me. i have that "keening" thing but i cant use it. (it kills me after like 4 or 5 sec) so if anyone can tell me how to get Divayth Fyr back that would be good. i tryed to use the "~" thing but i couldnt get him back. i dont kno how to use the editor so....... or you can just tell me were to get the other stuff i need to kill Dagoth Ur. :ebil:

But you can try typing this in the console:
PlaceAtPC"Divayth Fyr", 1,6,0
the numbers are coordinates that don't have to be exact. You need to return to his room to bring him back. If it doesn't work you may need to play around a bit with the name or the numbers. Unfortuanately, I think if you succeed Divayth Fyr will be very angry and will attack you. I haven't been able to find a way to set a character's disposition.
As for the other tools that you need you can only get one of them by [SPOILER]getting named Nevarine and Hortator by the Ashland tribes and Dunmer Houses. Then Vivec will give you Wraithguard and tells you where to find Keening and Sunder. Wraithguard is a bracer that protects you from the harmful effects of the other items. When you have all of them, I suggest bringing lots of restore potions of all types because Dagoth Ur will attack your attributes (endurance, intelligence, etc.) A couple scrolls of Windwalker or some other levitation spell/potion will come in handy too. I got Divayth Fyr back but it still wont work. Im NOT starting over so ill just go kill Vivec and take that thing from him. :ebil: I did start a new guy but i got mad and killed every one in Balmora. but the Guard keep coming back so that pisses me off, NOW THE WHOLE PLACE IS MINE!!! haha. im just going to try and kill everyone in the game, (with my new guy, and i dont think that will happen.) o well but thanx for you ideas :ebil:
