VoxXi, it sounds like you're jumping the gun a bit; you can't defeat Dagoth Ur without doing certain other things first. Anarkos already mentioned Sunder and Keening, and you also need Wraithguard which allows you to wield those two. You can only get this from Lord Vivec........

Just keep going with the main quest, and you will be summoned to see Vivec eventually. If you try to break into his palace before he invites you, he won't talk to you.
If you really can't wait you can kill him and take the artifact from his corpse but then you will need to follow the alternate main quest. Read (www.m0use.net/~uesp/morrow/quest/mq_vivec.shtml) this web page for details on how to do it (either way).
Hope this helps-keep in mind that Morrowind's main quest is supposed to be a relatively long and involved journey, not something you can whiz through.VoxXi on 6/1/2003 at 02:39
yeah i figured it out cuz i was bored and started to talk to that cadias dude and then i had to talk to some poor a$$ camper that DIDN'T have any silt trader ports or ship ports so i got p!ssed at that then they make me run to some f***ed up caves and sh!t and after all that they give me some stupid riddle to some place ( I found but that riddle didn't help) then i got to join all the houses when i got bounty's on all but one SO I THINK IT'S F****ED UP LET ME KILL THESE MO FO'S
