If you mix the herring with a shrubbery and some coconuts, you get The Potion of Ni!, which is very useful while defeating the harder Knights in the game.:thumb:

A drunk pilgrim near gniss told me you can get a couple of coconuts from one of the dancers in the strip joint in suran if you slipped her some "Imperial gold" i presume you have to get her disposition up to 100 or something before she'll give you any...

Ma'ik(sp?) knows about all this stuff. He is fishing on an island se of dagon fel. He even knows the secret about getting multiplayer in morrowind!

They can also be found on some Swallows after you kill them(Swallows look kinda like Cliff racers but they have feathers and shorter tails and are a bit smaller-rat size-). The shrubbery is very abundant past the Ghostfence in Red Mountain. It grows off the side of some of the mountains there, but you need a fairly good Athletics skill or some Rising force potions to get them. There is also a merchant who sells the in one of the towns, I forgot which one, but be careful, the plague is there.

I tried that, but I couldn't get any coconuts. I wonder if it is because I installed the nude plug-in?
By the way when you make the Philospher's/Sorcerer's Stone, it doesn't grant invunerabilty just immortality. Unlike the immortals in "Highlander" you don't regenerate, you just live forever. Its the only constant effect potion you can make in the game.

Originally posted by Zaphod Oh, and Forsythe, please remember that in the U.S. release of Morrowind, it's referred to as the "Sorcerer's Stone." Ahhh, my mistake; btw, anyone found the bow upgrade yet? There's a mad hermit in the ashlands around Koghorun that will give it to you as long as you have one of those "Ni" potions.

I would respond to this, but I've already been asked not to make any more replies in this thread, because out of all the different posts, I apparently was the only one lying.

i heard somewhere that there's an old hermit who lives in a rock in the sea of ghosts. if you align yourself at 134 degrees on the summer solstice while standing in the center of a circular rock formation near uvirth's grave you can be transported to his rock. if you talk to him and answer his riddle (i'll make it easy for you: 5.03), he'll give you the a scroll of max strength, endurance, intelligence, luck, agility, speed, willpower, and personality. it's constant effect, so don't worry about it after you cast it. you have to wait until 2 gargol to leave the island (the hermit's birthday, he'll open his doors in celebration), then swim back. on the way there you may meet a friendly sea lion. all you have to do is ask him what a fine day it is and he'll give you 1 Billion drakes, but make sure you have the $$$ plugin or the game will crash.
oh, by the way, you have to eat the red herring cooked with dingleberries dipped in the milk of 100 coconuts to see the rock formation. see red's posts on how to obtain the red herring and coconuts. i forget where to get dingleberries.....
hope it helps!
