:tsktsk: Can anyone tell me how to block during a fight? I read somewhere to keep this key pressed when doing battle except when attacking. I looked everywhere and can't any info on it. I'm sure its right in front of my face and I'm missing it! Any help would be deeply eppreciated. Thanks

Hmm, I don't believe there *is* a button for blocking. IIRC, you will block automatically based on your block skill. It's an odd skill, because you can't really increase it by "using" it, since you can't control the use of it. You can train it, and that should result in it being more useful.
Would someone else confirm my memory for me, or tell me I'm delusional if I'm remembering wrong? ;)

Ok, its coming back to me now! It has something to do with using a one handed weapon?

Oh, yes, you definitely have to be using a one handed weapon (and have a shield equipped in the other).. but I still think it's automatic, regardless. :)

It is automatic. I believe the skill rises like the light/medium/heavy armour skills, by taking a beating when using a shield :p.

Something amusing... it's been awhile, but if memory serves then if you equip a 2-h weapon and then equip a shield, then if you ever sheathe the weapon (and aren't casting) you'll still be able to block on occasion.
Useful, if you're ever caught unawares.
