How to become a vampire?

Hi people!

I have Morrowind installed with the tribunal pack. I want to become a vampire, but whatever i do I cannot manage to.

I have a very very strong character(who has 100% immunity to common disease from the main plot) , and a new one (weak, of course). I went with both of them to the places where there are Vampires , but even as I let them hit me I never become one. What am I supposed to do to become a Vampire?

(and the weakness to disease spell can be bought in the Mages' Guild in Caldera, IIRC)
