those all are horrible things

As someone currently residing in the UK and paying for everything in US dollars, I feel your pain. Seriously, a typical movie ticket will run you $18. It's INSANE.

...Isn't it about time Canada violently takes us over...
I don't believe the average Canadian citizen wants US.

Well you are in London, even with a favourable exchange rate it would still be doing horrible things to your wallet.

I'm liking this a lot. I got a Leatherman multitool from the States for $100 less than it would have cost me here, that's after currency conversion and including postage
Gotta be careful though. It's times like this that customs really starts paying attention to those bigger Amazon packages etc.

do you own a flower store or greenhouse or something? I can't imagine 500 seeds being for a house

...until I forgot to do the Euro to U.S. Dollar conversion.
Uh, are you sure that's what you wanted to do? I was in the Czech Republic not two weeks ago and unless there's been some kind of regime change in most cases they still use Czech Crowns and not Euros.
Unless that is, you were using some new-fangled Internet site where Euros are
de rigeur.

Where are you paying £10.85 to see a movie?! Okay, it's London, but still...
Cineworld do a monthly pass for £13.50, £16.50 to include their trio of West End cinemas, and you can see as many films as you want - this served me well when I lived within walking distance of one of them.
