I am stuck on something that is probably really simple.
I finished the first part at the Statue, then went through the HQ part.
It now tells me I have to get on the boat and go to Manhattan.
I have tried everything and it doesn't let me get on the boat.
All the walkthroughs tell me to highlight the boat and then click my 'use' key.
It seems that all I can highlight is the Boat Pilot who then says "Let's head out of here"
(Or something similar)
It is like there is a force field around the boat.
Can't jump on it, swim to it. - Nothing.
There are no more goals/Objectives.
I am obviously missing something simple but what is it?
Anyone have an idea?
(I have re-started the game twice now from scratch and I am getting stuck at the exact same point)

Exactly. You must stand in front of the boat so the frame appears around it, then click "use" key.
It's that simple, that I can not be more helpful. Keep trying.

Can some mod get me the IP of this punk? :grr:
If you have the original I'm sure the scratched CD can be replaced.

hey i bought the damn game! (used, but still bought it). no need to be mad. i just wanted to go through it again, but it was found under a pile of stuff which evidently left it in a state of "not working".

I must admit I also own the Warez version....but don't you dare criticise me for it...
The promotion of this game in NZ was horrible. I saw a review for it when it came out, mid-2000. At the end of the year I bought a new 3d card so I'd be able to play it....but....it had sold out. That's right, sold out, from every PC shop on the Shore.
"When", I ask, "will it be in stock again?"
"Deus Ex", say they, "is unlikely to be back in stock."
So I get a warez version....what else could I do? :(
Six months later, it comes in stock, I buy it.....

Gee, Santa Claus, I hope I don't have to sit on your lap the next time I want to ask for Christmas presents...
