I hope nobody's thinking of re-creating their house using this UU - FT scale. Game engines are never like real life, and things will just end up looking out of scale.
LOL! Not me. My little semi is rather boring and very unthiefy. I was merely looking at the heights of door frames etc. to get an idea of the relative scales in a room. And I'd suspect furunculus doesn't actually live in Penryhn Castle either ;)
Brodieman, I'm not sure that using the T3AIPawnHuman model is the best way to check scale. Yes, they appear to be around 6ft high, but if you look at my second screenshot (on the previous page) items such as doors are actually significantly larger than people. As I said earlier (and this is probably old news for experinced mappers) I think its going to be crucial to know in advance of creating a series of rooms just exactly how big all the static meshes you intend using are. I think what I'll end up doing is creating a special map with a massive space textured with the ruler and then import meshes into that to help design.

oops just check mine and it looks like thats the default for me to guess I had my wall aligned to proper scale when I first checked. the hight texture is still helpful as long as you realize you have to scale it down by half.

I didn't say it was the most accurate i said it gave me a better feel for scale (as long as i'm aware of what scale those pawns represent). I use it for all my unreal based editing etc..
