Whenever there is a spam thread (or 10) I can see the title as the latest thread title in a forum, when looking at the root forum view with all the subforums on it, despite the thread not being present if I go into a subforum or if I click on it.
The thing is this phenomenon persists for ages. New threads will be made in these forums but the spam titles persist. They seem to last for days.
Why?

Because the tool I wrote to mass delete all threads by a certain user does not work inside the vB framework and as such does not update the Last Post column.
The un-updated Last Post column does not persist for days. Hours maybe, but not days.
