To be honest I was talking more about those who like to text and drive at the same time or talk on their cellphone in the checkout line but those are points well made as well. Now get your head out of your ass and lose the blue screen noob.

I believe the best way for people to learn things is to find out for themselves. That's how most of us learned to use PCs, right?
Sure, someone who has no idea of the basics will need to be handheld for a bit, but exploring on your own is the best way to discover and learn new shit and have it stay with you. And hell, now that the internet's around, it's never been easier.

Much the same could be said for sexual orientation.

I intended to use that analogy in a follow up post. Stop ruining my plans, ffs.

I'm okay with it. However, if explaining something with analogy is required, and the analogy is "It's like in google, you know?," and they don't get it, I get sort of frustrated.
And it shows, I have been told.

I don't get it.

I'm okay with it because I don't like to feel emasculated when it becomes abundantly clear I struggle with applying a hammer to a nail.
Everyone has different skillsets.

So just poke around and if it pokes back scream and run away. Yep, that's how I learned the computer.
I think most of us have the capacity to learn anything as long as we luck into that glorious individual who enjoys teaching it.

I've never thought about it this way before. I feel a lot more manly now :beefcake:

Increasingly patient with people. Increasingly inpatient with technology. Thus people and technology are better keeping themselves at a safe distance from each other, lest cognitive dissonance sets in.
p.s. I'm fucking awesome with a hammer, but given a choice prefer carefully crafted joints held in place with tusks, wedges, tenons or draw-bored pegs.
