I'm 72 and playing the Thief games since New Year's Day 1999. Our children & Grandchildren are players too. I tolerate the reboot Thi4f but only for the side jobs.

43, first discovered the Thief 1 Bafford demo in a Tomb Raider CD back in 2003. I played it, didn't feel it initially.
A few weeks later, decided to give it another shot and was HOOKED

I'm a little sad that I didn't get the annual auto generated birthday message from TTLG this year. I'm not sure if I changed a setting or if there was a change to the page.
That's not the point of this post though. I've been playing since 1999. I was dating this woman for a few years. Her brother was a big PC gamer and one day we both stopped out at his house for a visit. He let me play Half-Life, a WWII Microsoft fighter airplane game and T1. I first played Half-Life for about a month until I finished it. Then I mentioned to him how much I liked playing T1 during that visit. That Christmas he gave me a copy of the game. I've been playing T1, TG and T2 since.

I'm twenty-three this year, and I started playing the classic Thief series when I was in high school. The exact year escapes me for the moment.

ahh, the topic of depression.
lets just say that I'm now further away from my childhood, than my childhood is from the end of WW2.

I am 30 years old. I discovered Thief: The Dark Project back in 1999 when I saw my sister and her friends playing the Lord Bafford's demo. It wasn't until around 2002-2003 that I started playing the games myself. I found out about fan missions shortly after. I keep coming back primarily to the early-era fan missions released up to about 2004, as they remind me of a quieter, simpler time in my life, when I wasn't even a teenager yet and the world felt more peaceful and easy to grasp. I also have a preference tor Thief: The Dark Project FMs, due to their dark and gritty atmosphere.

I'll see what I can find out.

I recently turned 36. Been playing since December 1998 (as a youngun). My daughter (now 5) started playing at three and she LOVES it (just Fables of the Penitent Thief and Tower of Babel).
