:weird:
Well, I mean, you could probably rake up whatever cash would be necessary to renew the name and the licenses and whatever and you would have Looking Glass back... But that's not going to do you any good.
LGS will not exist unless the people whose work we have come to attribute to the developer called "LGS" all get their heads together again. And seeing how they are all working at other things, in other places, on other games (or fishing in Mississippi or managing a weird motel in the middle of nowhere, what do I know what they do with their free time?), that's not likely.
LGS could be brought back to life very easily if you had the cash.
But it wouldn't be what you think, nor what it was, unless the same people were doing the same things.
And let's face it, we don't want the same things. We want different and better and faster and shinier and more and more and more and more and
hrhhm
Think I forgot my medicine again :D
Simply put: You can't get there from here.

You're being idealistic. And you're forgetting this is a fansite, it seems.

Looking Glass Studios is shutting down
The reports that have already started to surface on the net are true. Effective essentially immediately, Looking Glass Studios is ceasing all business operations.

I just said you were idealistic, not an idealistic punk. Learn to read, eh? No insult was implied. It was simply a matter-of-fact statement.
Plus you seem to be under the mistaken assumption that you can control who posts what in your thread. You can't. If I want to say you're being idealistic in response to a question ("How do I resurrect LGS?" Come ON, that IS being idealistic), I can and will.
But, you want an answer? Okay. Even if you were already told, I'll repeat and elaborate. It can't be done. You are being idealistic.
As GBM said, resurrecting "LGS" would not mean anything unless all the people that worked at LGS came back to work at the new LGS. Otherwise, it would be just a name.
The ex-LGS people are, almost all of them, working on something else, for other game companies, etc. They wouldn't and couldn't come back.
Racking up that kind of cash would be difficult. Bill Gates could not care less about this small game company that went backrupt, and would not fork out the money to resurrect it. As for the ex-LGS people, what would you do, keep a steady job that you already have or fork out $100K to resurrect LGS without knowing if it'll work or not?
As for the licenses, I don't know what they would cost.
As for your fourth question, no, this is a fansite. The ex-LGS people do post in here now and then, but not everybody who posts on these forums / has an authority of any sort on these forums (ie. moderators and admins) are ex-LGS.
Even if you found the cash, it couldn't work. It would not be the same.
There you go. That's your answer.
