Just a simple 'survey' on the use of the GEP Gun, Flamethrower and Plasma Gun. The LAW is not counted
Many often tote along the GEP gun more as a door opener ... but what about the latter two.
I recently reloaded a game and had a 'jolly' time with the flamethrower ...

Usually the gep gun, which I like to call my 'Universal Nano-key' for hopefully obvious reasons.
The flamethrower's good, but just can't hack it unless you put skills in the heavy weapons skill.

I always carry the "Universal Lock Pick". I'll carry a LAW as well, but only if I have spare room; if I run out of space, it's the first to go.

None, usually, but I tried playing through with three. I fell in love with the plasma rifle - it's good for everything.

None, usually. I am more the type for pistols and maybe rifles than heavy weapons.
Although I might get me a GEP-gun in the later missions to blow up the bots and doors.
About the flamethrower... well, this thing is just great. Have you tried using it against Anna in the airplane, for example? :D

Plasma and Flamethrower have limited uses. The GEP-Gun has many rockets available for it, a WP Rocket good, for living targets and a regular Rocket, good for bots. I use GEP :D
Though the Flamethrower is fun... I can never find enough ammo that makes me want to "lug" it around.
Plasma is ok...

I often make use of GEP guns, but prefer not to carry them any longer than it's absolutely necessary. After all there are other means of opening doors which almost always suffice long enough to find a new GEP and use it while replenishing the supplies.
And don't forget the greatest heavy weapon ever, the TNT crate! :)
