:grr:
I was really p*ssed off when I found out Gamall killed Artemus myself.
Actually, I cried and my mouth was hanging open in mute horror.
Well...
We all react differently to stress.
*hugs*

I noticed that his voice was...whatyousay...double vocal (Poor English, sorry), as if two people were speaking at the same time, and his voice was a bit different.
Exactly. That was the thing that made me worried too. And then, his speech was... too slow... like he was a drug-addict, I don't know... In fact, I understood that something was wrong with poor Artemus in the very beginning of the cutscene.
But one thing spoiled the immersion for me. When I was getting out of the bank, I suddenly heard the sound of the statues' footsteps. Already then I undestood that I had to be attentive. So, when the cutscene actually begun, I had already realized that there was danger.

I think Artemus made the keepers. Really, he was the quintesential keeper. Balanced, good voice acting, knowledgable... I get the feeling that he was the only one garrett liked. I'd say he was the only one I liked. I think they just killed him off for cheap drama (pulling a Steinbeck, as I call 'em). i

Do you mean Artemus founded the Keepers, Jake? That is not correct.
The Keepers were founded over a hundred years at that time, maybe even several hundreds of year. See the trailer? The Prophecitus, missing for 132 years. V. v. few people could possibly live more than 100 years at the medeival age, but Artemus didn't use the Skin-stealing glyph to live on, unlike the hag ( Curse her killing him )
Besides, if Artemus founded the Keepers, he should be the 1st Keeper, but it was that damn guy Orland, and before him, Xavier. (Check the game loading text when you're in Gamall's Lair)

Guess he means Artemus made THE keeper. He was the only really balanced one among them.
Agree, concerning the fact that he is - was - the only one who actually behaved in a way the keepers should.
There might have been others like him who did not like how things went (splinter group) but they were not courageous enough to contradict people like Orland. I think Artemus was the only one ever openly criticizing Orland and how he ruled. Furthermore his friendship to Garrett was probably unwanted. Although all these things has proven right in the end.
For me, this short and unworthy "death-scene" was maybe even worse than any missing rope arrows or swimmable water. As if they ran out of time and could not bring it to an acceptable end or something. This is sad.

What I meant was that Artemus made the Keepers, well, seem like keepers. He seemed so balanced and... i dunno... wise. He did a much better job than all the other keeper voice actors and his lines tended to be better. Without him the Keepers wouldn't have been quite as cool. (note that I'm talking mostly about T1 and T2; in T3 the keepers were pretty darn foolish. "This is a place of balance. STOP. THROWING. THINGS.")

What is that?^_^
But I also agree that Artemus is a true Keeper, besides Garrett

Fool around with Garrett a bit, and you'll see! :D
I think Artemus went all "No need to resort to violence, Garrett." ,when I whipped my blackjack out in front of him. (Come on guys, pun NOT intended!... Just try to ignore it, okay?)

Those keeper "reprimand-player" lines are taffing cool, actually.
I liked to play around with Orland... for hours. Such a great character. ... He unfortunatly dies every now and then. Pathetic manfool. :erg:

He really says that? I should try that myself. Just for kicks.
