Getting married to my best friend this July. (see my profile pic)
The beach. My God I'm a beach bum and I love it. I love it even more that Lisa is a bigger beach bum than me. We can be sipping coffee on a Saturday morning, the beach can just be briefly mentioned and an hour later we're both lotioned up laid out flat cooking in the sun on a giant blanket in the sand.
Riding bikes. What a good time. I ride my bike everyday to and from work and it's more of a workout than a "bike ride". What I
really enjoy are the leisurely cruises up and down the seawall.
Discovering new music I've never heard of before. I really enjoy when someone introduces me to a new artist or song or genre of music. Sometimes if I love it too much I play it to the point that if anyone was sharing my headphones with me they'd probably beaten me to death because I was "playing that one tune just one more time".
Cooking. Even moreso when I'm cooking with Lisa. Especially so when it's (
http://allrecipes.com/Cooks-Profile/Photo.aspx?photoID=42384) something we've never tried before. I think cooking is one of the only things I can do where while I'm doing it it's the only thing I'm thinking about.

The ache in my back from walking slightly stooped as my daughter, learning to walk, holds tight to my finger while her intentions get ahead of her feet.
The tired feeling I have from getting up early to go to work after staying up too late with my wife the night before, celebrating the fact that our houseguests, love them though we do, have departed and we can once again roam the house in whatever we want, including nothing.
The anticipation of our son, due to arrive in the next 6-9 weeks.
Naptime, so I can at least play some Bioshock.

When my husband brings me the most perfect cup of coffee in the morning, brushes my hair away from my eyes, kisses me and says "Get your lazy butt out of bed woman." That makes me smile.
When I drive to my barn and my horse looks up from munching on all that tender grass, whinnies his greetings before I even get out of my truck. He has a deep nicker and it is always nice to be the center of attention. Then he meets me at the gate with an intense stare and seems to say, "Gimme all the goodies then there won't be any trouble."
Every Saturday morning my mothers calls. I will be sitting on the couch with that perfect cup of coffee and think "She's calling me." and sure enough the phone rings and I smile.

hmm, not really even sure what this thread is about, but given its title, I feel it is now appropriate to mention that I just bought two goldfish last night:D ANY TIPS ON RASEING THEM GUYS?
Feed only enough that they eat at one time. You can feed more than once a day, but if any is left you are feeding too much.
You can feed them kibble catfood crushed to a powder. It's as good as commercial stuff, and if you have a cat, it's paid for.
Change the water (if you don't have a filter system) at least once a week, and anytime it gets cloudy.
Run the water a minute or two from the tap, then put it in a bowl, let it sit over night, and be at room temperature before adding to the tank.
If you have a fish tank, or bowl, you need 10 square inches per fish.
When changing the water, put some in a bowl (enough to cover fishes) and net the fish into the bowl. When the fresh water is in the tank, move the fish into the tank/fish bowl.
Keep the bowl/tank OUT OF DIRECT SUNLIGHT (unless you want boiled fish).
The fish can grow to the size of Koi, to which they are related, and will grow large if the tank has room.
If you keep them in one of those small fishbowls, get the widest mouthed bowl you can. They get oxygen from the air contacting the water surface, unless you have an aerater or filter system in the bowl/tank. That's the reason for the 10 square inches of water surface per fish.
Check here for detailed advice.

Recently I have discovered (
http://www.soundtrack.net/albums/database/?id=399) The Shawshank Redemption OST by Thomas Newman and immediately fell in love with it (SR is one of my favourite movies. What a terrible injustice and shame happened when that cretin Forrest Gump grabbed all the Oscars. But then real gems of cinema don't need to care about Oscars.) When I feel low and disgusted by everything around and with no taste to communicate with anybody, I can just play it right into my brain cells and the beautiful compositions transform me far far away from everything, to alternate inner universe number 94, a realm which no one can steal from me and where no one can reach me.
And it feels good.
Oh, and the fact that it contains If I Didn't Care by Ink Spots is just a bonus, as I play BioShock last couple of days.
Remember, Red... Hope is a good thing.
Fear can hold you prisoner. Hope can set you free.

:thumb: The Ink Spots and The Mills Brothers. Two of the best vocal groups evaaaar!
Try to find "Caravan" by the Mills Bros. It will blow you away.
Better yet look and listen to this:

There are NO instruments. All the music is by the Mills Brothers a cappella.

Diga Diga Do (with the Duke Ellington Orchestra) rocks my shit.
I've been listening almost exclusively to Mills Brothers, Ink Spots, Cab Calloway, Jelly Roll Morton, and various other late 20's/early 30's music lately. Fallout was my point of entry, I am not proud.

My latest jazz obsession has been Buddy Rich's Big Band. It doesn't seem to matter how many times I've listened to them, my jaw hits the floor every time, and I can't help but start laughing from how awesome it is.

Ōkami has lifted me out of my general disappointment with gaming recently, and it's a game that doesn't give a damn about having a billion polygons, HDR and fancy shader effects either, yet manages to be infinitely more attractive than any game claiming to be "photorealistic". If any game helps to show that the gaming hardware race is a load of big hairy balls, it's this one. It also comes at a time when I've really had it with sodding PC upgrades and I just don't care anymore...
I am extremely pleased on a number of levels.
