Day 110 or so, level 41 and what the fuck have i done wrong!? I barely trained my major and minor skills. only the misc. skills, i swear! how did i get to level 40 so fast? in too powerful damnit. ruins the game
say, if i increase the difficulty will that make only combat harder, or everything else?

If I were to guess, I'd say mostly combat; it might make it harder to Persuade ppl, but other than that there's little leeway for applying a multiplier to anything (treasure chests, 'real' dialogue, etc. are all rigged in a way that doesn't allow for such)

I am pretty certain that the difficulty multiplier applies primarily to combat. I am at a point where I think I need to boost it as well. Has anyone fiddled with and come up with a happy medium?

so far its took 136 days to get my lvl 24 nord but most of them days has been spent getting my fortune of 500+ thousand gold

Because of various experimenting, I think I might have the record for days.
374 Days in. Level 49 Wood Elf.
Mastered Thieves/Morag Tong/Hlaalu.
Starting back up on the Main Quest (currently at the point where you return from Urshim..laku? whatever)
Had to rest ~100 days to get my daedric shortsword with the summon dremona cheat(Oh I feel so dirty, but I was left out when there are only 4 in the game)

I had a level 61 woodelf, like day 234 and finished all the faction quests.
Then I restarted with a slightly different template and finished on day 134 at level 31.
Best thief template ever (imho of course)

The only thing I would have changed in hindsite is block to heavy armor. There are too many good heavy armor pieces in game (fists of radugulf, mask of clavius, wraithguard(s), helm of bearclaw), and I used marksman much more than block.
