Most potions have an instant effect and it usually applies directly to your character. If you use telekinesis from a learned spell you just select the spell and then pick the thing you want to move.
but a potion of telekinesis? When I drink it I get the telekinesis special ability icon, but how do I cast it after that??
Thanks for helping me out with what is surely a dumb question. . .
C
ps. I have same question with the feather potion

You don't have to cast potions.Drinking them is the same as casting a spell.

so how do I steal something by using the potion? I drink it and then point at the thing I want to grab? sorry for being dense here. ..

okay i think I get it now - the problem was my potion isn't very strong (12 ft effective range) and it also DOESN'T work on books (which is what I was testing out on). Why won't it work on books? Oh well. . .

Because you can't read books using telekinesis
