I haven't used several mods simultaneously, but as a rule they shouldn't be combined except cases when they do wholly different and not interrelated changes to the game. To combine you just do the same steps for every mod as you do when you install only one.

it's the best game it will check dependencies between mods and ask you to decide which should be given preference.
remove all mods beforehand, install, then use the GUI. it's all you need.
