Initially I thought this is thread about farting.

I tend to grind my teeth, drink too much and be a dick to people until they get pissed off with me.
Oh wait, you wanted good advice?
Go climb a tree?

jimjack, that is one shitty job. But if nothing else you've managed to make us lazy overpaid 3D animators feel good about our jobs where we can sit around surfing TTLG while we run the latest renders through combustion.
Aaaahhhhhh...
Maybe I'll even throw my feet up on the table. Put on the latest Marilyn Manson album on my 30GB iPod. Fart loudly. Ok, now people are looking. Time to get back to work.
LOL but I'll bet you didn't just sail into that job without taking on some lowly job before hand. I envy you that, even being able to release a good frapping fart with ease.:p
Its interesting to see the ways people are dealing with stress though. I should have included sports. Since I can't drink my problems away..Physical activity is a given meaning sports. I do ride my bike, play soccer, run abit but lately just don't have the energy much. Once the forest stops disturbing me, I'll go take the dog out let out some screams and rantings but I'm actually just not that type to do that still it might be worth a try. I don't like being alone with it, but I'm not much of a good company with it. Someone mentioned dreams..don't get me started on mine.
So I need a work out not just an intention, and to be able to clear my mind, have thinkgs make sense and put life back to formula. That thing you call squash looks like a good outlet, though Im not sure on my raquet handling probably use it on someones head.
I know, next time at work, I'll go on a rampage and really park some cars GTA style maybe plow down some of those sales bastards as well. Now that would really release something.
But on a better note, I'm looking forward to a couple of weeks in Glasgow, 85% enjoyable and only one source of stress to deal with. my mum.
Good releasing tactics from you lot though!:thumb:

Same here. I'm quite addicted to it, actually.

A nice long walk late at night, in the dark, helps me to de-stress and figure things out. I often feel I haven't really thought through a situation til I've "walked on it." The worse the stress, the longer I walk. True to my Thief roots, I also enjoy walking at night because it makes me feel like I'm UP TO NO GOOD.

Is it lack of energy jimjack or lack of inclination? Just wondering as I'm stressed out 80% of the time but I have bags of energy. If its lack of energy there may be a physical reason rather than emotional and perhaps consulting a doctor to rule out the physical may be useful.

When I was in a job I hated (retail) with a supervisor and manager I hated and who, without wanting to sound paranoid, had it in for me because I dared to have time off work because my fiancé was seriously ill, I played a lot of Unreal Tournament, and if I was very stressed, House of the Dead 2 - it was slightly worrying how my accuracy shot up when I was particularly angry with my manager.
And then I quit, and eventually found a job I love.

Music, either making or listening to. Mostly making, although I guess if you're not musical that sort of limits it, but practically anyone should be able to sing their lungs off once in a while, and it really does make you feel pretty good.

Depending on mood, some of these:
- lie down and listen to relaxing music (classical, Vangelis, whatever)
- alcohol
- orgasm
- exercise
- walk in the woods (preferred when it's raining and not many other people around)
(Edit, edit, I'm forgetting my English)

Electric Ladyland.
It chills me out so much that I have to wear thermal clothing to ward off hypothermia.
