I installed Fallout 3 without a hitchto the default location on the C drive, installed the mods from disc 2 to the default location, but the downloads section in the game menu is greyed out and I have no idea how to play the mods. How do I play 'em?

When you start Fallout 3 GOTY does it go straight into the game, or is there a small launcher window first? Like Morrowind/Oblivion there should be a launcher that comes up first with a 'data files' option where you can check/uncheck the modules that the game loads.
The DLC stuff that comes with the game should be loading by default, though. When you first leave the vault, you'll be given a bunch of quests related to them instead of just starting out with the one about your father.
