Or does he mean the site that has the godawful inline hyperlinks that are BARELY distinguishable from the rest of the text, so I have to really strain my eyes to see them?

Interesting choices.
I don't "kill time" on the net. I am always going to a specific site for a specific purpose and don't "cruise" or browse just to ease my boredom.

I'm not sure what site you mean as TV Tropes doesn't have that problem.

Mainly a couple of news aggregators, some mainstream and others less so. I also skim Kotaku for game news.

Uh... porn?
No, really, there's ttlg, darkmod, New York Times online, facebook & email... then sometimes pandora, YouTube, surfing Stumble sites, and a few japanophile sites. I used to surf blogs -- on philosophy, politics, Japan, and miscellanea pictures -- and had a few favorites, but not so much anymore. More likely, if I have free time and am on the computer, I'll probably either be writing something, making a mod, or making music... something like that.

My list in order usually goes:
Facebook
Myspace
CNN.com
TTLG (sorry guys)
That said I could really go for some time to waste:( I usually don't get to the bottom on a regular basis

facebook, TTLG, kotaku, pitchfork, plus my photo blog. And from that it's just a kind of maddening circle in which I neither produce anything nor gain any new information, just hit refresh over and over, out of habit click the bookmark of the page I'm already on and feel that little pang when I realize nothing's been updated. It's not so much killing time as completely wasting it.
(j/k though I love TTLG)
