I know Jim Stacey is in Siminine's bookstore and I also know where the bookstore is but what I do not know is how I am expected to get to him when he is behind a door with a level 75 lock on it. So, I suspect there is either a trapdoor or something else somewhere in the Foreign Quarter that I'm missing. What do I do? Do I need a special key to get to him or is there another way?

just unlock door. no crime, dont worry. pick or use spell, but there is no other way in

call it a kind of test. If you're not an acomplished enough thief to be able to unlock the door, why would he want to see you!!!

Well, you see...I'm looking to kill Jim Stacy and I don't have lockpick, also I don't know of any scroll that could open the door and I don't have any magic..

God damn, another stupid fighter... all I'm gonna say is trust the guildmaster at Ald'Ruhn, you might want to talk it over with him :)

Yeah, I've tried going through the Ald-Ruhn's guildermasters' quests but when I get to the final one and kill Hard-Heart, everyone in the fighter's guild at Vivec continues to attack me even after I became Guildmaster through talking with Percius. The strange thing is, when I killed Hard-heart's main supporters, none of the other guild members seemed to even notice.

this comes up so many times, its pathetic. there are 340290489 ways to open a locked door. it doesnt matter if ur a fighter or not, dont come on the forums, if u cant figure it out, thats pathetic.

Easiest way if you have no lock picking skills is to either get a scroll that opens that level lock or enchant an item or find an enchanted item to open locks.
