I expect this the wrong place to ask this question but how do you do the hyperlinks in postings. Also how do attach a picture to a posting say, for a birthday or something.

This is the wrong place to ask. It should be in (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=72), fs, stop living in Thief Fan Missions.
For hyperlinks you press the button with the globe and the chain, then start typing
For images you press the painting button right next to the hyperlink button, these buttons are in the post window.

Yes, it should be someplace else and I'll shift it over.
Mary, to insert an image, it has to be on the internet somewhere, whether on your own webspace or elsewhere. Then you use the URL for the image and insert it using the Image button Spitter indicated.
Hyperlinks are even easier. Just click on the button Spitter indicated for that, fill in the text that you want to be clicked on (eg. TTLG FM Forum) and the next box will allow you to type in the URL of the link. It will be automatically inserted in the post properly for you.

For future reference there is a guide to the vB codes in use at TTLG linked to from the bottom of each forum page in the "Posting Rules" section.
This is what it links to: (

This doesn't mean hundreds of images and urls in your future posts, I hope.

Well fingernail, its gonna be hard to hold myself back on this but I'll try to. Thankyou David.
By the way, when you want to quote just a couple of lines of someones post, do you select in the usual way or what. I've tried to do this several times but it hasn't worked.
David on 28/7/2005 at 18:00
Just click the "Quote" button as normal and delete the portions of their post that you don't wish to quote.
