Back when I registered this name was just supposed to be a placeholder until I thought of one I liked. Now I can't figure out how to change it or get rid of it, so I appear to be stuck with it. A few members have suggested I re-register but I don't know how to do that either. If there's no option to change your name, is there an option to delete your user name so you can register again?

Re-registering is the option to go for.
Click the <a href="http://ttlg.com/forums/member.php?s=&action=logout"><img src="http://ttlg.com/forums/images/top_logout.gif" border=0></a> button and then <a href="http://ttlg.com/forums/register.php?s=&action=signup" target="_blank">register</a> again. :)
You could also try emailing <a href="mailto:gbm@ttlg.com">GBM</a> or <a href="mailto:fionavar@ttlg.com">Fionavar</a> and asking them to change it, however it is policy their not to change it unless you have a good reason, and just because you're bored of it probably isn't a good enough reason
