Another dumb question but I have been through the game a couple of times and nowhere does it tell me how to perform spells.
My character is a Nord does that affect the game with regards to magic?

Ready your spell and click, like you would with a weapon.
Radstar, I keep telling you - try out all the different keys. Go to options and check out the controls; it will tell you what key controls what.

Sorry I will have another look but I have been trying other keys but none seem to trigger any magic as yet.

on another note does anyone know where to find the dam dwermer puzzle box? I am just running around slaughtering npc's without a single idea as to where this box is as yet.
Thanks and I really appreciate the help as I am just getting into this game and if I can figure out a few of these puzzles I think it will become alot more fun.

In the large chamber/cave where you first came in on one side there is a little walkway going across, and above that is a second level you can get up to by climbing up a rock, on that second level is the door way into a little room with a guy inside, the puzzle box is on the shelf there.
Nobody finds the puzzle box thing first time, I remember when Morrowind was new and in the forums there would be a puzzle box question every week.
