how do i prevent paul from being killed? please help. i killed everyone in the ton hotel, and i got captured, but still in the next level, he is dead!

Either paul died before you finished the killing or it's a bug. It should be you just kill the MIBs and he'll be fine.

That's about it. Providing you DON'T go out the window, all you need to do is do your best in thinning the UNATCO ranks to help Paul escape. If he makes it to the stairs leading to the lobby, he definitely should be fine, but some covering fire (gas works well here) won't hurt either. So, as said before, it's either a bug or you didn't act fast enough in the beginning, when the MiBs and UNATCO guys are about to enter the apartment.

[SPOILER] Doesn't Paul have to die here? I didn't think there was any way to save him in the hotel. Every time I played, he was killed here and for the rest of the game wasn't in it. There's a way to avoid his death? [/SPOILER]

In fact there are very few who have to die in the game.
[SPOILER]Regardless of what you do Manderly will be dead, so will Lebadev, of course Navarre. You get this from a news report meaning that no matter what you do Lebadev and Manderly are killed. Anna is too, but it is fairly hard to not kill her anyway. I don't think that there are many others who have to die.[/SPOILER]

Paul dies if escape from the window.
You must exit from the front door, you can make a mess of the Unatco soldiers or you can run to the exit, but don't exit from the window.

am i the only one who rigged the place with LAMS and gas grenades in my previous visit to the 'Ton Hotel so that when they approach Paul's room almost all of them gets massacred:D :thumb: :weird:
