Chinkashh cast the spell, and I just presumed it would be in my spell book, to show me how to cast it. However I've sinced been told that you have to watch her carfully and this is the only way to cast the spell. I haven't got the runes I need for this spell, but apparantly it dosen't matter you just watch her closely and repeat her gestures.
However i have missed this scene, and have sinced saved over it, so now I can't cast "activate portal", and keep getting lost.
Could someone tell me the combinatin of these runes (i think it's a rune beginning with m and s) and how i can draw them so I can use the teleporters.
A brief description of how to draw the runes for this spell would be appreciated

I think you must have the corresponding runes in your spellbook in order to cast the spell (not sure though, can't test it any more).
The spell to activate the portal is below. I don't know how to spell the runes, so I wrote them phoneticly, sort of :p

[SPOILER]To cast this, you deed to draw first a straight line, then a square. Draw the straight line from down to up, then the square counter-clockwise, starting from the top right corner[/SPOILER]
Clicking the runes in your spell book shows how they are supposed to be drawn.

Thanks, i'll try it. On a seperate issue i've just rescued shany, and Maria says that I can have 1 item for free from her stock. However when I go to claim my item I am told of the price. She did give me a life and mana potion, but I didn't choose these, my choice would have been a rune. According to the walkthrough (I checked to make sure) I should be able to choose an item. Sadly I am charged for it, all this after I saved her daughter from certain death, I think a rune stone should be the least I can expect.

Yeah, I assumed that was just bad scripting.
Has anyone tried saving, and taking an item to see if she really charges you?

Yes me, I saved outside, just before the cut-scene when shany returns. At first I thought I was doing something wrong (e.g not taking the item quickly enough, but you are charged for anything you take.
I tried re-loading on 7 seperate occasions, and each time no matter what I did she charged me. I just presume that you get the 2 potions no matter what you want, yet according to the walkthrough I read you can choose any item you want, it evens says choose any 1 item.
Maybe it's a bug, but there was definetely no choice for me!!
