I just joined recently because I tried playing System Shock 2 on my laptop, but I think problems with Vista made that particularly difficult. Still having them too, though that's by no fault of ttlg's, I think. Considering how I spent three hours researching it (and though I am no technical expert, I am an excellent researcher, it's what I do).

System Shock 2 brought me here.
I was a regular visitor for several years before signing on as a member.

Loved System Shock and started looking for info on the brand new interweb after I got my 56K modem. Found a site called "The Unofficial System Shock homepage". It eventually turned into "The TriOptimum Corporate Network", then TTLG.
And you guys have really reminded me I need to play more Thief FMs...

I remember this thread, I could have sworn I posted to it back then. Damn, my reticence has prevented me from looking all old school. Well middle school really.
I was at varsity and playing pc games instead of studying - I was searching the web trying to find out if there was going to be a Thief 2. I found the EIDOS forums - the Crippled Burrick Inn - and link hopped over to TTLG.

Yet another thread that makes me miss Monkeysee :(

It was System Shock that got me into TTLG. Back then there was no forum and I'd check at all the resources compiled by Digital Nightfall to get my SS fix. Um, was he called Digi then?

I'd played T1 & T2 and was hungry for more of the same. My husband (now late) did a search & found TTLG and something called 'FMs' and promptly joined. After using his account to post for a year or so, I started my own & I've been hooked ever since.
Seeing Monkeysee's name made me start wondering where AGWPT & Naartje & 'Noid & the like are these days (though I already know 'Noid has left TTLG for good).
Oh; I see ZB's still around.
Nevermind.
