It's been a long time. Even longer than my reg. date so it's hard to say exactly what drew me here. I think it had something to do with the original System Shock. Whatever search engine was around then spat out the original site started by Saam and Digi. I've been here since even though they changed the forum umpteen times... They'll never shake free of me. That was like 5 years ago! Wow. Time flies. I was looking for info on Looking Glass.. what are they doing now after System Shock 1 and Ultima Underworld and found TTLG. I believe LGS started on The Dark Project and it wasn't even renamed to Thief. Something like that..

Gads, I can't remember. I think I came for Thief stuff but what I can't remember. What probably kept me around was the Foofie factor. :cheeky:

Was a still a Thief newbie back then so I had to read some walkthroughs on GameFaqs to get me through. I found The Circle's link on the author's guide and a few months later, joined TTLG.

I can't really remember, either I was just searching for Thief related pages because I loved the game, or I was looking for walkthroughs- anyway I found the Circle first, then TTLG. I lurked occasionally until I decided to try making a mission in Dromed (which is still sitting unfinished and buggy as hell on my drive). I stuck to the Editor's Guild at first, then started posting at the rest of the pages. Now I'm hopelessly addicted.

I was on PlanetDeusEx.com and there was a news item for an article comparing Walton Simons and Edward Diego (who at the time I had never heard of) and the name System Shock sounded cool. So I checked the article out then followed links around the site for a while until I ended up in the forums. At this point in my life I had never known about the concept of online forums, and it was mind blowing for me. There were whole sections dedicated to nothing but talking about Deus Ex!!!! WHOAH!!!! So I immediately signed up and spent the first night on up until about 3 in the morning reading and replying to threads.

Fell in love with Thief 2.
Searched the net for more info. about The Dark Project and Thief 3 (since the end-scene of TMA obviously sets Thief up for a sequel).
And I've been here ever since.:cool:
