I first came to TTLG to seek answers for my DromEd [Thief (Gold) Editor] related problems on the Editors' Guild in December 2000. I registered in January 2001 and finally released my first mission 12 months after that. I also started to post more regularly on the other sections (e.g. Community Chat & General Gaming) after that...
So, what about you?

I think it was mentioned in the back of the Thief 2 manual and I was looking for info on something or other concerning Thief.
I lurked for a good 4 months before signing up. My first post was in the now long defunct NOLF forum.

I was coerced to join after being coerced to fiddling with DromEd.
Boredom drew me from TEG to Thiefgen and finally to commchat.

I honestly can't remeber.
I might have found it via alta-vista or via the-circle.

I was looking for the keystone tree in Undercover.
There was a link to... well... it wasn't even TTLG back then but a forum at gameforum (IIRC) in the german Thief forum that I had googled in the first place.

Not sure ... I think I found Thief the Circle website listed on the package somewhere, or in the documentation on the disk. Checked it out...mostly the FM's at first, and The Correspondence of Thieves. Then I found this 'Forums' link ... and fell right in :D
