At £10,304.65 per kilo? You can buy a flat.
I now have an amusing image of the remnants of the Taleban lugging 100 kilos of gold through the mountains, and wondering how the fuck they're going to mail it if anyone takes them up on this hilarious offer.

Just try to put some cartoon making ass out of Holocaust on a frontpage of a prominent western magazine. We have freedom of speech and thought afterall, don't we?
You're not getting it, cheeseball. You could do that in a number of western magazines. Freedom of speech doesn't mean you won't garner public outcry and it's not a relevant consideration here.
The point with the Iranian contest is there are actually a number of western countries where
it would be illegal to put a holocaust denial cartoon on the frontpage of a magazine.
How many times do we have to go over this?

What I meant was, that...
Ok, forget it. I was arguing more than enough for one day just over there.

How stupid and immature of allegedly "civilizationally superior" Euro-America.
People who make cartoons are most definitely civilizationally superior to people that burn embassies and attack people.

What if they do both :o

What if they make cartoons about attacking embassies that are actually funny enough for Mohammed to come back and tell us how lolling he finds them? :p

Yes, it's quite embarrasing actually! He was most certainly shut up and order back in line.
Anyway, the solution for this whole issue is obvious! We just need Bono get off his ass and make a statement...
It's really too bad that the islamic communities have reacted this way to a debate more or less centered upon the issue:
"Although most terrorists are muslim, only few muslims are terrorists!"
The west should just take the consequence and start to invest more intensively in research into alternative energy sources. If we remove the need for oil from the middleeast I guess things would change pretty fast.
My best guess as to the cause of the current situation is that the imams are - with good cause - very afraid that western thought will gain a foothole in the middleeast. If this was to be the case they would with all probability loose all their status and special privilleges within the turn of a decade.
