Do they not see the irony in saying:
A lot of people are stupid, your point?

(and don't think for a second that the irony of people typing "G_d" and also decrying this Islamic freak-out regarding the pictorial representation of Mohammed hasn't occurred to me.)
What? How is it ironic?

Also when you look at the writing in GBM's photoshop compared to the original, all the same letters of GBM's alphabet are exactly the same, where as the above photo shows differences in characters...
This shows that one used fonts and the other handwriting (or fonts designed to look like handwriting), not that it was or wasn't altered.

Of course the photo is photoshopped. The placard is cleaner, sharper and more contrasty than the rest of the photo. The image has been tweaked to draw a little extra of your attention to the slogan (not to mention picked from a contact sheet of hundreds of other photos because that was the one that best portrays whatever statement the torygraph is trying to make - namely the brittish bobby protecting scary muslims and their savage ways)
Though there's no reason to doubt that the pacard and slogan are genuine.

Interesting selection Kaleid.
Everyone should check this out - it's a selection of responses by the press world-wide.
(

There are some interesting opinions on there.
My favs:
"
SERGE FAUBERT IN FRANCE SOIR
It is not religion that is being called into question, but rather intolerance. Faiths are not being targeted, but the outrageous intentions of some people who want to impose their commandments on those who do not share their beliefs."
One for GBM I think.
This one is hilarious.
"MUKHLID AL-FA'URI IN JORDAN'S AL-RA'Y
The extent of the repeated offence against Islam and against the person of [Prophet Muhammad] by the scum of the Danish press is a matter which calls for provocation and disgust for that bad group of people who chose journalism as a profession."Ha ha. Is someone suffering from identity confusion?
And an interesting and relevant view from Palestine.
"PALESTINIAN AL-QUDS
Despite the great insult, uncalculated responses - especially attacks on European nationals in the Muslim world - do not go hand in hand with the morals of Islam and its Prophet because they are the Muslims' guests, and protecting them is a sacred obligation."
The whole point of the cartoons was to emphasis just that - there are many "Muslims" who do NOT follow Islam and who use some twisted version of it as an excuse to pursue political ends.

Hilarious. You should write jokes for Nick Griffin.

To be honest, if you're going to wave a 'Kill those who insult islam' banner about then 'you are a tard' is a roughly appropriate retort.
Though an explanation of why I feel Mr Tardy-Head is mistaken in his response to the cartoons would be the more grown up thing to do.

From CNN:
"We should have killed all those who offend the Prophet and instead here we are, protesting peacefully," Mahmoud Zahar, a top leader of the militant Islamic group that won the January 25 Palestinian elections, told Italian daily Il Giornale.
"We should have killed them, we should have required just punishment for those who respect neither religion nor its holiest symbols," Zahar was quoted as saying."
Thus speaks the newly-elected governing party of the people of Palestine. Meanwhile, the Danish embassy in Syria burns.
Will the true face of Islam please stand up? My tolerance is starting to butt up against my rising sense of angry WTF.
