How crazy is this cartoon issue?

I'm really surprised at the batshit crazy furore that this causing. Without wanting to be Convictesk, what the hell is wrong with these people?

Are these guys just bored? Is this a freedom of speech issue? Most, but not all, of the Muslim leaders in the news say that it's a matter of "poor judgement". But burning FLAGS because of newspapers that aren't connected to the government? Boycotting companies? Now I'm all :rolleyes:

Again, this is an issue that's just so far outside my tolerance for trivial bullshit that I'm not even able to comment in text. My comment is a particular facial expression with accompanying hand gesture.

C´mon guys. Everybody likes sex. Sex is cool. Almost every male computer user has "sexually oriented imagery" on his hard drive and if he doesn´t he´s currently using his working computer.
Nevertheless it´s prohibited to post pornographic or sexual material on this board. And everybody in this community accepted and follows this rule.

Other communities, other rules. If they don´t want any pictures of Mohammed shown in public let them. Or do it anyhow and get banned or in this case flamed.

If you wanna show them produce gas-soaked flags (preferably from Western nations) for inventory and assure quick delivery to every mass hysteria-ridden place in the world.

Mostly the problem seems to be that people in the muslim world do not understand freedom of speech as we have it. They view the Danish and Norwegian government's refusal to punish the newspapers as some sort of calculated insult.

What right do Islamic countries think they have to censure the press in foreign countries (let alone their own press)?
