hi...i'm new to MW. actually since the beginning, i have a descending hope of having a group or someone to travel with me... because i'm a mage and i cant carry my everything by myself :) and also i need someone to fight with the `enemy` so that i have enough time to cast a spell before being KILLED!!! i havent played any rpgs that you travel alone and now i feel very stupid wandering around alone on the hills (specially with my funny "health points"!!!)
the most awful thing is, the only "thing" that have "attached" to me in this game, was a stupid useless pilgrim woman that i (dont ask me why) fetched her to the shrine that was on my way.
SO, IF THERE IS A WAY TO JOIN WITH SOMEONE IN THE GAME (THAT WONT STAND ON MY WAY AND GROWL AS: "IF U ARE LOOKING FOR A TAVERN, I CANT HELP U") PLEASE TELL ME!!! BECAUSE I HAVE A ROOM IN EVERY CITY THAT I PUT MY GOODS (I'M A KIND OF COLLECTOR TYPE) AND I'M TIRED OF ENTERING THE SAME TOMB AGAIN AND AGAIN AND BEING KILLED AND LOADING AGAIN...
thank u for your interest...

It can get lonely adventuring by yourself, can't it? In the original game, you can only have people follow you/fight with you for short periods, as part of certain quests, but there are plenty of mods around which give you a permanent companion. Making such a mod yurself is also very easy, IF you have Tribunal installed.
Of course, this depends on whether you're on X-Box or PC......if you're on a PC, may I recommend the following links to good companion mods: (
http://thelys.free.fr/ulfgeir.htm) Click here...and(
http://thelys.free.fr/emma.htm) here.
There are others available, but these are probably the best.....alternatively, I could have a go at showing you how to create such a mod yourself.....you can always tinker with existing mods to change the companion to your own preference, too :)
Hope this is useful :)

thank u...no i dont have tribunal. i've got MW a few days ago and i havent done anything else since then:) actually it would be enough for me to even have a permanently summoned frog or rat. because it sometimes gets too depressing when u r alone ... anyway ... i think i should look for some of those people that walks behind me as u said... and get tribunal as soon as i can return to my own life... :)))
and those links will be good. i'm on a pc...
thanks again

Also, I think you can buy slaves at Tel Ahrun (spelling?) which will follow you around. They aren't terribly hardy though (and keeping slaves is BAD! Be ashamed - very ashamed!). They also can't carry anything for you and I'm not sure if you can give them armour/weapons, so I don't know how useful they actually would be. Anyways, that is just an option if you are on X-Box or can't find a plugin or something. I like packguars and there are several fine companion/mercenary mods floating about. I'm sure you'll be able to find something.
As a suggestion, though - try adding some stat points into strength or enchanting an item or two with fortify strength, as this will help with the whole "five trips in to the same dungeon" thing you were mentioning.
And I would suggest the excellent housing mod "A Good Place to Stay." It has a teleport system which allows you excellent transportation options (for a price). Not only can you travel to most towns from your house, but you can also return to the house itself (for instance, when you are overburdened with loot and want to stow it away) using a specially enchanted item (traveling from the house costs money and traveling to the house costs some fatigue and health, but it is definately worth it!).
Thus, using mark/recall and the teleport system in this house, you can quickly unload your items and return to adventuring! I really love this mod, as I am also a collector and I don't get much enjoyment out of trugging across the countryside a dozen times just to get everything I fought for back to my house. Another nice thing about "A Good Place to Stay" are the abundant crates/chests, many tables, and armor mannequins for loot storage and display. A very nice house for the packrat/collector in all of us:cheeky: And did I mention the nice alchemy setup? Anyways, it is a very nice little home located in Balmora. Check it out! You can find it over at Morrowind Summit, I think.
Have fun!

My pleasure :) You only need Tribunal if you want to make your own mod (it makes it a lot easier with Tribunal, anyhow) But you can use any of the other companion mods I linked to with or without Tribunal...some mods now have two versions available, a Tribunal and non-Tribunal version (such as Emmas' mods from the second link)
No frogs in Morrowind, I'm afraid, but you can buy pet animals in Tribunal, such as pack rats and scribs-but let me warn you they're terrible cowards-they just run in the opposite direction if you get into a fight :) Oh, and there's also a (
http://thelys.free.fr/jdooby.htm) Petshop mod. if you like little animals.....I've got a white pygmy guar called Binky :D

:)I use the bedrooms in balmora mages guild and ald ruhn mages guild. i like to be in the mages guilds. i feel good in them and closer to everything. and they have their own teleport systems :cheeky: but it would be better to have a seperate house and a teleport system as u say... but until i get the tribunal, i think i will choose a victim that lives in a good house with a good location and a useful interior, and replace him:ebil:
TO JORDANA:
actually i sometimes feel unconfortable to add things to the games and manipulate their nature specially if the additions look odd in the game for their style or quality... (i felt the same when i downloaded hundreds of items for the sims but it didnt take too long to recover...:) specially after i redecorated my house (maybe i should say rebuilt:)) and that must be the only way to enjoy that game...
BUT i think it will be very good to have one of those girlfriends to my little mage... can he have a boyfriend:joke: ?
and i dont think i can stand one of those uncontrollable ready-to-run-away little creatures. but they cant be worse than the flares in the dungeon siege if u know...:laff:
THANKS TO U ALL!!!

One thing you can do, though you won't, AFAIK, get any conversation out of them, is to create an enchanted item with a constant effect summon spell. That way, you can have, say, a Golden Saint (damn hard!) travelling with you. If she? it? gets killed or something, you just have to unequip the item and re-equip it, and a new one will appear.
If your char is male, he can have a lady friend; check out the inn in Pelagiad and speak to the pretty kitty there. She won't follow you around, though.
Other than that, get Tribunal and you can hire a mercenary. Although you can get one in MW too- mine is guarding my Hlaalu stronghold, but he says he'll follow me if I ask him. I believe hiring him was part of the stronghold building process, and I don't know if it happens if you're in one of the other great houses. And if this makes no sense yet, it will later!
